Morning classes (adults)
– Mondays & Wednesdays: 08H00 to 09H00
Kids classes ( 8 to 14 years)
– Tuesdays & Thursdays: 16H00 to 16H45 – 8 to 14 Year olds
Evening classes (14 and above)
– Mondays & Wednesdays: 18H00 to 19H00 – Novice
– Mondays & Wednesdays: 19H00 to 20H00 – Intermediate
– Tuesday and Thursday: 18H45 to 19H45 – Advance adults and only if invited
Many novice martial art students start of by studying videos and copying the techniques on videos. It is incredibly difficult and sometimes impossible to copy or learn these techniques if you don’t have a training partner. At Roodekrans Krav Maga you have the advantage of training against a partner, 95% of your training will be with a partner. One can not do proper self defense training if you don’t have a partner.
Class sizes differ and can be from 6 to 20 students and classes consist of men and women. When training do not choose weak partners if possible, try and train with strong knowledgeable students, this will speed up your Krav Maga knowledge and progress. The last thing to remember is that all of the students that you will meet, were once beginners, it does not matter what their skill levels are today. Some of the more advance students attend the beginner classes as well, this is to re-sharpen their Krav Maga basic techniques and to smoothen their skills. A quality student realizes that doing a basic technique 5 times is not enough, doing techniques many times against various opponents results in building muscle memory and smooth execution of techniques.

First timers, we complete indemnity forms at 17:45 the day of the first class. Wear normal Gym Clothing, no shoes on the mat please, bring a sweat towel and water bottle.
Who do we train
We train men and women and they will train against each other. We accommodate students 8 years and older and my oldest student is in his sixties. I have students of all sizes and fitness levels. You will train against the smallest and the largest, men against women, women against women. This is the only way that you can learn how to defend yourself against different size opponents.
Our aim is to teach you self defense techniques. You will use muscles that you never new you had and yes your muscles will be sore. Over time your muscle structure will develop and some of my students have lost weight. But the intensity of the training depends on yourself and how much you will sweat. We are not an aerobic fitness group, your aerobic fitness you will have to get somewhere else.
We are not a “skop skiet and donder dojo”.
Lastly, there is no other way that I can think off that releases stress the way martial arts does. I have many professional people training with me that will start a training session totally stressed out, only to leave after training, relaxed with a smile on their faces. For one to two hours they did not think for one moment about the stresses of today, or tomorrow, only about enjoying themselves. I hope you also will enjoy training with us.
We offer a belt structures similar to Karate/Judo/Taikwando/Jujitsu. An individual starts at White Belt and will progress as follow: white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, black.
Our first target is to get you to Green Belt – In white to green belt we teach you Streetwise 101, it normally take a student a year to master Streetwise 101.
